Q: How long are Student Accounts kept?
A:
As long as you use Moogie at least once a month, we'll save your work.
If you go longer than one month without logging it, we may delete your
account.
Q: How long are Teacher Accounts kept?
A:
We're not sure yet. Probably 3 months without logging in so data is
saved over summer vacation.
Q: Can I enter the students' names and stuff
through my teacher account rather than enter each student, one at a
time, with the Sign-Up Wizard?
A: YES! It's a LOT easier to add students to your Student Roster
from the Teacher Home Page. If you use the Sign-up Wizard to add
students, they'll be Independent Students, that is, you won't be their
Teacher; they won't have a Teacher; and you'll have to enter their User
ID and Password to add them to your Student Roster.
Q: Can I put all my students in My 4th Grade classroom,
even though some are lower and higher, or do I have to make up a
Classroom for each group?
A: As long as all your students will be working in the 4th grade on
Moogie, they can all be in the same Classroom. Make additional
classrooms only if you want to and it helps to keep you keep organized.
Q: Are email address required? Are they kept
confidential?
Q: Are your Playlists on TeacherTube always so unorganized?
A: Yes, and yes. We need your email address to send
you your User ID and Password when you sign up. Teachers who sign up
students are also sent their User ID's and Passwords by email. And we
never give out email addresses! Believe it or not, we get spam
too. We hate it so much, it makes our heads spin!
A:
We hope not. This is a new feature, and we're still working out the
kinks.
Q: How do we contact you?
A: The best
method is by email:
moogie@MoogieOnTheNet.com
Q: I am a teacher. If I remove a student from my
Student Roster, can he/she still log in and use Moogie?
A: Yes!
Although we recommend all students have a real, live, human-being
teacher, students can be "Independent" and work on their own.
Q: What are the system requirement to use Moogie
on the Net?
A: Moogie on the Net will run just fine through most
browsers. Internet Explorer (we hate to admit) tends to do best. Some
schools are behind ultra-protective firewalls and some special ports
need to be open for Moogie to work. For the Sign-Up Wizard: Port 8891,
Student Module: Port 8889, Teacher Module: Port 8896, Parent Module:
Port 8895. Teachers will need to ask their Technology Administrator
to do this if the need arises.
Q: What's the difference between the three (3)
URL's
www.MoogieMath.com,
www.MoogieOnTheNet.com, and
www.EmanuelSoftware.com?
A: Absolutely nothing. They all point to our Home Page.
